Long story short, I had my bag stolen with my clock card so I had no way of clocking in, so I told the manager on duty straight away. He's my bosses boss, so I expected it would be fine. Then my manager returned and I told him, too. I was assured the hours would be put through. A week later, still no clock in card, and underpaid by over 40 hours. Went to my boss and sorted it out after looking through the correlation report. Following payday, I was paid for those missing shifts. But I was missing over 80 hours from that month, too. It took 6 weeks to finally get my new clock in card. I know it was over Christmas but it seemed way too long. I need that money and am now told there's only a certain amount of hours they can put through each month so I am likely to be waiting two more months to get my full hours. I was also due a 10 percent bonus on most of those hours which I now doubt I will if I have to wait two months to get them.
I've been doing well lately but this has really mentally set me back because I am a genuine and trusting person and I didn't expect all of my hard work to be for nothing. I already took a blow when my bag was stolen and my cards used, now to find out I'm not even worth putting in a few exceptions and getting a clock-in card within a decent timeframe, it's hurtful. I know it's not personal, but I do occasionally enjoy my job but now I can't stop feeling like mud on the bottom of their shoe.
But enough with the pity party. My main issue is my pay. What can I do about this? I will be getting another correlation report tomorrow but is there a way to get paid immediately? Or at least all hours on my next pay? I don't want to be waiting months to be paid what I am owed.
