Resit test
« on: 27-03-20, 04:54PM »
Anyone know if there is any written rule where a driver would need to resit there test if they haven't done a driving shift for a period of time? Whether it's a contracted driver or a multi-skilled employee? In our store it's a month! So currently there are drivers off for 3months self isolating..one of them is team support, will these employees need to resit their test? One multi-skill employee wasn't allowed to do a shift again because she hadn't done a driving shift for 6wks! Does anyone know the actual rule please?

Daily, almost hourly updates. Normal rules are not always being applied. i would assume that two people sitting in a van for the duration of the test would not be happening just now.

Many drivers are refusing to buddy up with new drivers (as would I if asked).  I don't like sharing a cab at the best of times and would rather do the full 860kgs myself.

I know a driver who was off for 12 months and his first shift back was out driving alone  there are no hard rules, however I'd day 3 months off the road would be a good guide, you could be off for 1 month just for holiday

I had 4months off driving due to a bad collarbone break, and just jumped back in no resit
