I had my meeting had to fill in an availability form asking what hours i could work and in what departments then what other stores I would could go too. After all that I was told nothing would be changing in my role at all not hours nor the times i start/finish. This whole process has left a very bitter taste.

(Stock control)

To all colleagues that are leaving due to redundancy, don't forget to cancel your union subs....it would be nice to see that they will be losing all this money they've received from us and for what they have done for us....F@#k all.

Any part of stock control, as long as the hours are reasonable and in your availability window.

Some store managers are just using these changes as a way to take hours off some and give them to mates. Leaving the redundancy aside some fairness anywhere would be a start.

If you choose to apply for one of the new jobs are you classed as a new employee or an existing one

So I was not job matched, have had my 2nd consultation now were I was shown more vacancies than in the first meeting, showed an interest in one vacancy was told it didn't fit in with my availability but I could change my availability by one day which I agreed to, to then be "persuaded" to go over 2 departments that would fit my availability which I said OK but I would still like to apply for the first one just to cover my back. "Oh there is no need for that" so OK I didn't apply for it.  Come to work today to find out from another member of staff WHO IS NOT AFFECTED WHAT SO EVER BY THESE CHANGES that THEY have been offered the second job I was going to apply for but haven't as I was persuaded otherwise!!!

I am absolutely fuming! It should be affected colleagues only! This person gets on very well with the manager over the department he's been recommended for and I just feel like if I complain it will get me no were as its all very biased within stores anyway or I may loose out on the job I have gone for if I do put a complaint in and as for going to the union about it!

Was the offer in writing? Did you accept it in writing?

My instinct is that until the consultation is finished if they offer you a reasonable job you will not be entitled to redundancy... But, frankly, I would definitely go to citizens advice for free legal help.
If hours are being reduced then redundancy is offered

USDAW nodding dogs. Their reps will fill your head full of nonsense, truth is they are no where without our fees and need to be seen to support. They agreed this process  8-) It's all lip service. Many people impacted are being led up the garden path by dodgy union advice be careful they don't cost you.

Can I just correct you on a few points please......

1.      reps don't receive any fees.
2.      Neither do they "need to be seen" to support.
3.      Which reps agreed to this process??  .I think you'll find only a very small minoriy were invited to the discussions.
4.      Looks like the head is already full of nonsense so no room for anymore
