Collective consultation has now closed. Notes can be read here including what ReliantSkydiver has just mentioned about HMRC

"It has become apparent that there are alot of vacancies including business critical that our impacted colleagues are not showing interest in applying for and this is creating concern for the business".

Hello, I am a newbie; just want to say that all the vacancies in my store are 8,25 - 19 hours, unsocial hours - either start 5 am or finish at midnight, that is why the affected colleagues (especially the full timers)  are not applying for them but taking the redundancy.

What about our P45? Some people say it will be given to us on the pay day, the 31st of May, some say that we have to print it ourselves. But if our accounts are going to be deleted, how can we get P45?

Your online payslip account won't be deleted straight away but it will be after a few weeks or months (it does state somewhere on ourtesco.com how long it is but I can't find it) so download everything you want a copy of asap.

Well, this was predictable. Morale is lower than ever and they're expecting colleagues to jump at the chance of applying for unsociable hours to largely suit the company only. From up in their castle they think that the plebs are so desperate that they'll apply for or accept any role or hours that they make available. Let's see how that works out when they're also one of the lowest paying of comparable supermarkets. There's only so much c**p most people are willing to accept.

It's a horrible situation if you are lucky enough to have managers that are decent. I know not every colleague does, unfortunately.

You want to stick your fingers up at head office but don't want to leave your powerless managers in store in the s***. One manager in my store who is genuine and will help anybody has had to take alot of wrath for what head office have done.

Is this a real statement from the company? Where was it released?

P45s come down to stores the day before payday and are then posted out to colleagues with all the other leaver documentation. Payslip view should remain available for 12 weeks after leaving. My advise to everyone who is leaving is that you make sure that you download/print all the P60s which are also available on payslip view.

It certainly is genuine and you can find it in the minutes of the closure of the collective consultation meeting from 2 days ago. Scroll up and see the post I made, you can download the minutes from attachment.

Vacancies that are 15 to 20 hours a week which are utter rubbish and the hours to be worked are appalling as well.

Looking at all vacancys offered (100+ in 20/30miles radius) there is nothing to choose from. Flexi and very low hours. I am not suprised that 95% of people affected in our store are leaving. No one want to loose the job but with what is on the table its better to go.

Exactly the same when the nights cull happened. 31 out of 33 people took redundancy and the two that stayed left soon after. We have outings once a year with all that had left and i can proudly say that all that took redundancy have better hours, pay and self esteem since leaving the hell hole that is tesco. Stay positive, leave tesco and look to a better future people.
