 Think 30 Trial – In 51 Express Stores

Local authorities and Police forces are targeting neighbourhood retailers on underage sales of alcohol.

In order to support stores, particularly those that are affected by drink related anti-social behaviour, we are looking at different ways to protect staff and Designated Premises Supervisors from potential prosecution.

Our store has been nominated by our Store Director to take part in an important trial – Think 30.

Think 30 works in the same way as Think 21 but instead of looking at customers buying alcohol and judging whether they look under 21 we will be looking to see whether they look under 30.

If they are we will not sell them alcohol unless they can show an acceptable proof of age.

The trial will start in Week 34 (W/c 15th Oct) and is planned to last for 6 weeks.
