Just wanted to share the new guidelines that have been sent down by the union if anyone missed them.

I and the others in the meeting when we went for the pay review briefing by the senior team that you had to fill in a new availability form we were told this was only for overtime availability and not for right hours right time. She then said we didnt have to fill one in and we didnt have to put extra hours but if we didnt then we would get no overtime offered on the new app regardless of training, the then assured the group that it was only for overtime and not anything else.

I didnt fill one in but there were a few people who need over time and felt they had no choice but to fill in the sheet and put down more availability than they otherwise would simply so they could get overtime.

Now to monday and the email I got from the Union which says the exact opposite of all that.

as you can see from the screen grab of the email I got.

So my advice would be to anyone who filled in the availability form thinking it was mandatory for overtime to request a new one and fill it in with only shifts you are willing to be forced to do when they again do the right hours right place because as you can see it is not for overtime.

Brief also said that there was no requirement to update availability. It was not required of anyone. It was only being asked.
The however point is that going down the line for anyone who wants to increase contracted hours. If you want to take on an additional contracted shift you need to show 1.5 availability for that shift. So if you take on a 4 hour shift you need to have 6 hours availability around that shift.

And why would that be ?? it's called overtime for a specific reason as it does not form part of your contract.
No requirement to update availability then a requirement would be for all the management to let staff know this instead of being deceitful.
