 Bulk Purchase Policy

1.Protecting Availability of Special Offers for all our Customers
It may be necessary to limit the amount of certain items customers are able to purchase in the wider interests of customer availability.

2.Customer Satisfaction
Bulk purchases must be assessed in each individual case. If we are aware of a local business buying goods on 'Buy one get one free' and then re-selling these items this is not acceptable.·
If a customer wishes to purchase a large variety of pet food as they are going on holiday then this would be seen as a legitimate reason and the sale should be allowed to continue.
If a customer wishes to purchase several high value items this would be deemed unusual so the sale would only proceed at the discretion of the Duty Manager

3.Discretion
Although a guide of 12 may be applied it is at the Store Managers discretion as to the number that can be purchased in individual cases.
The Duty Manager will be asked to attend to make the decision in line with the Store Manager's instructions.

4.Customer Service
It will always be our intention to ensure customers can purchase whatever they want from Tesco and it will always be our aim to provide customers with excellent service·
For customers who require a large number of the same product on a regular basis we should encourage the use of our Customer Ordering facility at the Customer Service Desk.

5.Mobile Phones Excluded
Customers may purchase up to two mobile phones, per transaction, either two of the same or two different phones
