Who the heck are they. Heard of Customer Delivery Drivers being asked to sign new contracts with the above "job title". As far as I know there has been no change of title so is this just some local manager making it up of the top of their heads?
Should be called Customer Assistants
Automotive Replenishment Technicians like most other Tesco labels they have to make it sound more important than it is. You only need to look at there Management candidates to understand what I mean ;D
Drivers used to be called Customer Delivery Assistants. The CDD job title change happened months ago, at least 6 months.
Delivery Driver would be Suffice!
van man
What would seriously be the point of changing the name of the role?
Just sounds like a jumped up yuppie trying to make a name for themselves.
Delivery Service Executive would be better.
You could call the customer a Delivery Service Assistant (if they open their door by themselves that is).
I fill shelves, but prefer to be known by the title of 'Spatial Awareness Executive'
They could call Delivery Drivers "Modern Day Granvill's"
For those of you who remember Open All Hours!

Those at head office have to justify their salaries somehow... 8-)
[gmod]Edited to remove insulting comment.[/gmod]
Name is changed to probably make the job harder or conditions worse.....so they can justify to any tribunal that its a totally different role to what came before.
