I've had a few people say they cant get online to view their payslip this morning ( been trying for over an hour myself with not joy), if this is happening to you feedback through your forum that its another shambles by the powers that be, maybe if we start using their own tools and keep at it we can at least annoy them into sorting things
Since it went to online payslips for everyone I've never been able to access mine until late on pay day, must be too busy now.
Got in at 9 this morning
It's ridiculous that they've forcibly switched everyone over to a system that clearly doesn't have the server capacity to cope
This seems different to the normal uselessness, it's literally doing nothing for me! When it normally plays up it atleast loads very VERY slowly...
Total c**k up again >:(
Same for me
Still not working! Absolute joke
Got my first payslip today. You need a degree to work out what's going on. Has overtime listed as £80 (I've done none)
Also had minus hours £70 and lists my minus hours but doesn't deduct anything. I honestly don't have the first clue what's going on.
Mate I've been here 6months and still don't have a f*cking clue 😂 I somehow got through just and know mines wrong but it crashed so I need to get back in to figure out how it's wrong...
Maybe ignorance is bliss to be honest.
I was looking at my payslip today and the basic pay holiday over time etc all added up to more than what I was paid? Then looked back at some others and all the totals don't match what figures they have put down?
I've been on holiday (4 days) but only ones been deducted and I've been paid more than normal but I have worked enough overtime shifts to perhaps cover the difference but I literally have no clue how to figure it out these payslips require Stephen Hawkings intelligence
I always go by my 4 weekly base rate and never pay much attention to b hols and hols pay. They never seem to be right at the time but catch up on the next.
I rarely do any overtime so as long as what goes in my bank is roughly the same every month I don't try to figure out what the wages clerk has done with coding.
DMG
If you are contracted for a particular day, but had that day off and worked another instead that would account for minus hours and overtime
Under new EU pay rules any holiday pay includes your normal rate and a proportion of any overtime you did in proceeding 12 weeks.
The theory being someone contracted for 2 days a week but actually working 5 will be worse off if they take a full week off as they only get 2 days holiday pay.
My solicitor cannot figure or workout my payslips I'm sure we're all being ripped off why does it have too be so complicated, I do the same hours every month but my take home pay is always different and as for the waste of time payslip view cannot get on again bloody shambles, pathetic.
The payslip system is not fit for purpose.
Whoever suggested this to Tesco needs to quit or be sacked.
Relatively new to this forum, i dont quite understand how to make a new topic. I think my question would be okay in here though. I handed my notice in on the 21st of August and worked until the 3rd of September. My contracted hours were Saturday 5-9, Sunday 10-6. I did one overtime shift on a Monday 7-1 i believe. Can anyone explain my payslip, or let me know if its right at least, im about 90% sure it is not.

I have had 3 new activation codes but every time I log back on it says my details are wrong. The problem I believe is wit my memorable questions. I'm not being funny but I know my husband's name I've been married to him for 25yrs. When I asked them to reset them on the helpline the lady said can we do that when you call next time!!!! Great help
When you get a new activation code, don't forget to change all passwords otherwise it will lock you out, a tip we gave some of the team was use all lower case or uppercase for the answers only takes a forgotten case to block it. This has stopped most forgetting passwords, although we still have the odd one...

On the first payslip your holiday entitlement is based on the `assumption` that you will be employed by the company from April 2018 to March 2019. If you leave part way through the year your entitlement is recalculated based on when you leave. In your case:
9 holidays (full entitlement) divided by 365 (days in the year) multiplied by 156 (days since 01 April to 3 September) = 3.8 days which is rounded up to 4 days.
3 bank holidays (full entitlement) divided by 365 multiplied by 156 = 1.28 days which is rounded up to 1.50 days.
4 days + 1.5 days equals 5.5 days entitlement.
You have taken 7 holidays and 1 bank holiday = 8 days.
8 days taken minus 5.5 days entitlement = minus 2.5 days
On your second/last payslip it shows Remaining as 3C, based on the new calculation of 4 days entitlement minus 7 days taken means you have taken 3 days too many. Your bank holiday entitlement shows as 0.5 remaining, based on the new calculation of 1.5 days entitlement minus 1 days taken means you are `owed` 0.5 days bank holiday.
3C holidays plus 0.5 bank holidays = 2.5C i.e you have taken 2.5 days too many holidays which is deducted from your final pay.
The calculation used can be found on OurTesco if you need further clarification.
Does the holiday flex up pay apply to Shift Leaders as well as the GA population as I have regularly worked overtime of up to 70+ Hours some months and cannot see where this is placed on my payslip.
And on the topic of payslips online I'm still unable to access mine. I've always accessed my payslips this way and had no issues up until recently
Yeh it's for all populations it's average of overtime over the previous 12 weeks leading up to holiday and is included in the holiday pay on your payslip.
Localgirl69
There is now a dedicated telephone line to deal with access to on-line payslips. The number is 01462 652397.
Hi, please what is the phone number so you can get a code for payview, was in Sept booklet but I lost it :'( :'(
[gmod]^^^^^^^[/gmod]
Has anyone been able to access on line pay slips today? I have tried several times overnight and now this morning l get a message saying server unreachable.
Surely now everyone is accessing their pay slips online head office could sort this issue every pay day???
>:( >:( >:(
No there seems to be a technical fault. This is turning into a regular occurrence, I imagine too many people trying to access the site could be the cause of the problem.
I've tried all night with no luck . It's beyond a joke
This happened a few months ago. Was around lunch time before it was up and running again.
Can't understand why they don't get on top of this problem & get it sorted out.
If they can't cope with the volume of people they should go back to paper pay slips . I opted out of paper as soon as online was available but we are entitled to a payslip and the continual delays on the website are preventing this
Nothing on our Tesco to apologise this company gets worse.
I have just called the pay slip help line number. They said system is down completely. They hope to have it back up again in 2 hours .
🤞🤞🤞
About time they binned this nonsense. Not fit for purpose springs to mind
Surely though, if it was down, the webpage wouldn't open at all?
Hope there hasn't been some sort of hack and Tesco hasn't taken it down??
They shouldn't have ever got rid of the old paper method. How are people supposed to check wages are right and sort any wage queries out
If they can't use this system properly then how will they cope with the new oracle wage system when it comes in. ?
If it was a portal for customer use, it wouldn't be down, it would be resourced and maintained well.
Anyone would think Tesco might know how many employees they have/would be trying to access the site, and pay for decent servers that could cope !!

I've been trying all day to get online and still nothing! Absolute joke.
Was trying from midnight until 1.30am last night, still not working now. Its going to be quicker to wait and check my bank tonight at this rate!
When our store had a server issue last week affecting PI and start of offers, Help Desk resolved it within 1/2 hour.
Yet when colleagues are unable to access their own pay slips, which is a legal requirement, we are left in the lurch for over 12 hours.
It's a joke . Someone should be accountable for this fiasco. I've been trying since 5.30 this morning! As for the response on Twitter. What a crock! Cut their wages ! Then they might get right!
Still can't login this morning message saying unable to connect to server now, you can get the login page but after entering password etc just does nothing !
They need to spend more money on infer structure and reduce executive bonuses.

I took home £15.70 last month and still waiting for answers.i know Tesco wages are poor but surely they could have sorted this out for me in 4 weeks.Aint got a clue what I will get this month either as also can't access the site same as others.Getting more and more angry by the week with all the rubbish we go through just to be paid in time and properly with a wage slip that we should be able to understand.
JUST GOT ON, 16 HOURS AFTER FIRST TRYING. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A COMPANY OF OUR SIZE, DONT SEE THE GROCERIES/BANK/MOBILE WEB-SITES EVER GOING DOWN LIKE THIS, WONDER WHY, OH THAT WOULD COST TESCO MONEY. >:D
Still unable to login but when the initial page opens there is now the following message!
Please note
This website will be unavailable from Saturday 10th November, 2018 00:00 until Sunday 11th November, 2018 23:59.
This is crazy enter your employee number then just nothing happens, if this website was revenue generating would have been fixed in minutes but, as it's just for staff no one cares.
Same here . First tried at 1am then on and off throughout the day. It's always been slow but this is beyond a joke.
Mine tells me no access from last Sat and Sun! What? Beyond useless.
Would be nice if the company could actually tell us what the issue is with the wage slip site and when the site will be back in action, not much to ask for really is it.
Hi I have joined this to let anyone interested especially tescos upper managers that I'm going to report the company to HMRC .
On the grounds of failure to provide a wage slip. A legal requirement.
The company will be fined for each and every wage slip they fail to provide by the end of the pay day.
If you would like to know your legal requirements as employers I suggest you get your lawyers on to it .
Without payslips, employers may deny that those claiming owed wages were ever employed by them, or were employed by other associated companies. Workers who suspect that NI or tax deductions were not paid to HMRC have little to support them when they attempt to ensure that their contributions record is correct. This may have serious consequences for pension and benefit entitlements, and for migrants seeking to establish residency rights (for which the paperwork requirements are ridiculously stringent).
A company run by donkeys .
It's not payday until tomorrow
It may not be payday until tomorrow but, they can bombard you with emails relating to our Tesco so, it wouldn't take much to actually explain what the issue is to staff, it has always been possible to view your payslip online the day before payment.
Exactly. I've been trying all day and I know a few of my colleagues have. Not much to ask is it . Enough is enough.
Useless. Get the lawyers on it
How much will that cost, better off bombarding Uncle Dave's email.
The main problem is simple the server where payslips are held is not powerful enough. They are still using the same server that they have used since introducing online payslips all those years ago. But since making paper payslips redundant they have not upgraded the server.
So can you imagine nearly half a million colleagues trying to log on to check their payslips. Since they are saving all this money from being paperless they could invest in a more powerful server else this will keep happening unfortunately.
I truly don't give a monkeys £_&££ about the issues they are having providing pay slips .
I have done overtime and like all overtime it's a lottery in Tesco did I get paid did I not.
So I want the pay slip . immediately. What they saved in sending out paper slips .they should of invested in this p155 poor service.
The way the upper managers treat the work force is f5-_#57 contempt.

Anyone have a tesco bank account be able to let me know at what time our money goes into our accounts please.
I got an email from my bank at 9pm yesterday evening telling me the money had gone in.
that payslipview website is awful. i don't remember it taking several hours to open my paper payslip...
Well. My mate is one happy bunny, maybe the only one out there. He started but then left after 4 days training said it as a s*** place to work. But anyway, this morning found £880 in his account for 4 days warehouse training.
The same happened to new starters at the store I worked at.
Worked a few days .full pay given after 1 week's work.then never returned .
I wonder how often this happens with Tesco?
I know one member of staff was paid for three months after he left the company.
My Nephew spent 12 months in the RAF and has been out in civvy street for 6 months and gets his RAF Pay every month since.
Another day before payday, another fallen over payslip website !
It's been 8 months since the company withdrew printed payslips, and they still cannot provide a functioning method to view payslips. Surely someone must take responsibility for this, and resolve it once and for all. It was their choice to withdraw printed payslips, so simply bleating that there is too much demand on the website is not good enough. They knew how many staff would be trying to view the website, so they should have created sufficient capacity.
If they can't get it to work, perhaps they should email payslips to staff if they wish to provide an email address, or alternatively provide pay clerks with a facility to print all staff payslips and distribute them locally.

Difference there is even if it's nae his fault he would still be arrested for Fraud under MOD rules. With Tesco they can't do much it's civil matter over payment.
Utter s***
The website is very poor. Just another typical tesco service. Nothing ever seems to get better or improve our even work. Surely someone some where has to be onto this? I can see this rolling on for months. Seems to me that they aren't bothered giving us the service we should have as long as they have made enough cuts to balance the books
I thought they were fixing it yet again they let the staff down.
Another quality service provided by a company that has nothing but our best interests at heart.
NOT....
I signed in just after midnight and viewed my December pay slip no problems this month.
What is there to view? Wages are s**t, and you're penalised if you take any holiday.
Defiantly time to find a job with a proper company!
just tried to look and again server not available
I just logged on with no problem at all.
just rang the "helpline" and they didn't even know the site was down :-X
I rang them and they could not help some helpline.
Seems to be o2 users can't get on. Service down.
I am on bt still no good.
I'm on o2. Just got straight on so not a problem with o2.
I've just tried to access the site via my phone and bang, straight in, no problem, access via my computer using Firefox or Chrome - not working.
Yep, something I found out too - tried phone with Wi-Fi can't get on, tried using computer... nope same error message... what worked for me was using mobile data 4G on my phone straight into the payslip site no issues !
Proves WiFi in this country is c**p when u have to rely on the phone line.
Just looked at at my last payslip online I'm a leaver and it has hol/bank hols leavers pay of £****.** and basic pay of £***.** Cr what is the Cr for ?, I have been with tesco for 19 years.
Hey
I am a new starter I had my paper slip for 14th Pay and activated online payslips.
When is the soonest I can view them for this pay?
[gmod]Your topic has been merged with an existing payslip topic. As a VLH Supporter you have the option to use Search to find a suitable topic for your question(s).[/gmod]
In theory you can view them from Thursday before the Friday pay date. However, the site usually goes down on the Thursday as it cannot handle the volume. It has been brought to Tesco attention time & time again but never gets sorted. Just a matter of keep trying.
The law around payslips states they must be available either electronically or by paper no later than your payday, If Tescos system is not allowing that on multiple occasions there must be something we can do about it.
Use Usdaw' s free legal advice....
USDAW's legal advice line is for non work related enquiries.
Here we go again. Trying to look at my payslip and guess what?? Yep, site down again!!!
worked perfectly fine for a me a few mins ago, makes a change from how it normally is
I got on as well.
Yep I got on problem at about 1am
Guys, I think we've slipped into an alternate reality, I got in with no problems this morning too :)
[gmod]Please do not quote immediately prior post(s).[/gmod]
Nah, it's slow as s*** still.
I've logged in and downloaded my pay slip but it took a while!
There's no doubt they know about this but why pump money into more servers that will be required a few days each month...
They've got other useless projects to waste money on.
I've been with tesco for 4 months, and so far, only logged on ONCE on payday other times website times out.
meaning i have to send "paper copy" to the dwp regulary as im disabled and can only work so many hours, but now tesco dont do any paper copies, i just have to hope my printer prints it off "officially" as it even says "printed or photocopied payslips may not be accepted"
i dont mind them being online, but we should at least get a option to have paper too, or even a 3 monthly or 6 monthly paper payslip. as the disability department in dwp want "full paper slips upon random request"

Anyone else having problems again today? I'm getting 'Site not available ?
Just tried to log on myself and I can't get on there ??
same here
Go on to ourtesco and search wages and there is a link.
The service is unavailable 🙈
Use your mobile data not WiFi it works then, well it did for me.
Has anyone ever been over payed before?
I've had money taken out of my pay stated CR wage sup, do they take it out in one go without notifying you?
HI, I have managed to log on and on my payslip they have TAKEN OUT £51.74 smart pension!! I have never opted in and I opted out when this was first introduced. I rang my shop and it looks like EVERYONE has been automatically opted in again WITHOUT any Letters or communication from Tesco ??
When I rang head office they said it was a "mistake" and are trying to sort it out.
Legal and general are saying they will be posting forms out this week. What about people who budget every month and this money will make them overdrawn costing them extra fees for the month ?
Why were we NOT notified once again that this would be happening so I wouldn't LOSE £51.74 out of my wages without any option to opt out BEFORE they took the money ?
I'm really not happy I wasn't notified. I very much rely on every penny, so -£25 may sound a little to be worrying about but that's a weeks shop to me! In my shop wages were really shocked, no one at all had been told, only came to light this morning when we got on payslip and everyone was docked 😶
Yeah I'm £52.75 light too due to this.
The worst run company in U.K has pilfered 3% of my wages, too, with no notice so I could have taken corrective action. Complaint made to the pensions regulator.
Natasha Adams should resign, in my opinion.
Any out of pocket expenses incurred due to this fiasco can be claimed for.
Thought there might have been something posted on ourtesco to acknowledge the fact they have screwed up yet again but nothing.
This is the comms from Head Office. Apparently colleagues couldn't be pre-warned as they had to be earning more than £768 in this pay period which wasn't known until earlier this week.
By law, Tesco has to automatically re-enrol some colleagues into the Tesco Retirement Savings Plan every three years.
Colleagues to be re-enrolled are those:
not currently paying into the Plan, and
who have previously opted out or decided to stop their contributions before 14 January 2018 and
who are aged over 22 and under state pension age, and
who earn more than £768 in the pay paid on 8 February 2019 (equivalent to £10,000 p.a.)
Affected colleagues will see a pension payment come out of their February 2019 pay and the change will be effective from 13 January 2019. Tesco will also pay in matching contributions.
L&G (who help us manage the Plan) will send letters to those affected in February, confirming they have been re-enrolled.
If you're affected and you want to stay in the Plan – no action is required. You can increase your 4-weekly contributions above the minimum (4%) at any time by going to TheColleagueRoom.com – and receive matching contributions from Tesco of up to 7.5%.
If you're affected and you don't want to stay in the Plan – you have one month to opt out and receive a full refund of your contributions. The letter from L&G will include details on how to opt out and by what date. By law, colleagues cannot opt out before they are enrolled.
After this, if you decide you want to stop contributing to the Plan you can (at any time) but you won't be able to receive a refund of your contributions as cash. Your money, as well as Tesco's contributions, will remain invested in the Plan until you choose to take it from age 55.
If you have any questions, you can:
Email pensions.dept@tesco.com or
Call the pension helpline on 0345 070 1113 (Option 1 for questions about the Tesco Retirement Savings Plan or Option 3 for questions about why you've been re-enrolled).
Visit legalandgeneral.com/tescoretirementsavingsplan to find out more about the Tesco Retirement Savings Plan.
If you have any form of Lifetime Allowance Protection:
If you have Lifetime Allowance Protection and believe you should not be re-enrolled, please contact the pension team urgently at TSP.Choices@tesco.com
Thanks for the info. Makes sense now but surely we should have been told about it before it happened.
I rang today Apperently letters are been sent out next week with details of how to opt out you need to do it by 28th feb and it will be put into march's pay it would of been nice to be told though !!
Hi, does anybody know whether p45's are posted out upon leaving? I've logged onto the online payslips tonight which has my final payslip, but only last years p60. I can't get onto ourtesco any more..Thanks
Note that after you opt out then that will only hold for three years then you will be enrolled *again*! 8-)
wouldnt surprise me one bit if we get the letters too late (or not at all) to opt out by feb 28th so we can't get our cash back.
P45s come down to stores the day before pay day. Stores print them out and post out to colleagues.
Funny how we have to get our payslips online but we cannot opt out of our pension online, we have to wait for a letter in the post which might go missing and go past the 30 day period.
I have had the worst pay in a long time¬ enough to live or survive on as with all the overtime cuts yet they still manage to take £25 pension off me. Net pay well under £700 home.

It's indicative of the calibre of management we have, and the absolute contempt they hold us in, that while they can use the team 5 process to tell us that they are rationing ketchup sachets in the canteen, there is no announcement that a chunk of our wages is about to go AWOL.
Doris nothing came through to management about it.
Rationing ketchup, how pathetic and to team five it well what actually can anyone say.
Tbf to management our senior team manager was fuming about the pension too, they were in the admin office worrying about their pay too 😶
Had my pensions update letter through the post yesterday so time to keep an eye out if you are planning on opting out (again!)
Finally got round to opting out of the pensions scheme today. Surprisingly simple to do using my laptop and the enrolment code from the pensions update letter.
opted out as soon as i got the letter. been confirmed by e mail :)
Anyone know when P60 becomes available to view on pay slip site?
fatboy
06 May.

had to view mine on the old payslip view web page not allowed to use the app after taking redundancy
I could not find a new topic button.
I need help please.
The payslip site stopped sending me verification sms messages
My manager told me i should change my password to make it work.
I cant change it it want the sms code for that as well.
Is there a helpline or anyone have idea how to access the payslips?
[admin]Welcome. Your question is fine in this topic. Ref: starting new topics. Please read VLH Supporter Benefits (http://www.verylittlehelps.com/index.php?page=17)[/admin]
If you log on to an MPC at your store, you can remove and re-add your verification method
I managed to do it from home, the verification sms came after 2.5 days
To prevent this happening in a future i did add new verification method
I had to install Chrome OneLogin Extension on my desktop pc
the last sms was still valid after downloaded Onelogin protect
app on my phone i just had to enable login with pin on my phone
After that on the desktop i could add new verification which
required to scan a 3D barcode from the screen.
Now login is instant i get a notification on my phone,
if i am accepting it i am in.
I just wish someone would had told me this in this much
detail when i joined Tesco.
Half of the managers in my store don't know how to do this, they just send their staff up to me in the Phone Shop and say that I will sort it. To be fair, I don't mind, it takes like 5 minutes, but if they show up when I'm on my own with a queue of customers, they ain't getting helped.
Just a question about the new pay slip, I sometimes do shifts on on customer service desk and should be getting CSD premium for these hours.
There's a section on the new payslip called additional information, which tells you
Basic Hours,
Night Premium hours,
Bank Holiday Hours
But there's never any Customer Service Desk Premium hours on there, should there be? I ask my manager twice and still got no answer from her.
Yes, you should be paid for shifts on the CSD. It's only full shifts, break cover does not get the premium pay. I'm not sure how it shows on the payslips though.
Yes provided you are fully trained you should receive skill payment for working on the desk. Make sure you've done all your click and learn training for Tesco bank and moneygram. That's a big reason why desk colleagues get extra.

I'm in the same boat, so can hopefully give some help,
It would show as Skills Payment on your payslip. However if you're not contracted to CSD but work in them, they need to manually key these hours in on Work & Pay. There's a guide as to how to do it on colleague help. I would speak to your Wage Clerk. They can do it retrospectively for what you've missed out on.
Quote from: Redshoes on 09-07-22, 07:47PMYes, you should be paid for shifts on the CSD. It's only full shifts, break cover does not get the premium pay. I'm not sure how it shows on the payslips though.
Break cover does get premium provided it is longer than 60 mins in a shift. So for example, a checkouts ga who did cover for 2hrs of their shift, would get paid the premium for those 2hrs.
Although clearly this depends on the arrangements at the individual store. For example there's a shift one midweek day which does a mixture of CSD break cover, PFS break cover, CSD 'overlap' (putbacks and miscellaneous bits), PFS transfers and then sits on a checkout for the last couple of hours. It is a mismash but it falls under CSD so the person gets the higher rate throughout.
Unable to see second page of payslip, no option to download the payslip, using an Ipad, any ideas?
