Am I still right in thinking that the control screen should not be used to approve age restricted products and you need to use your login / barcode and look at every customer?  And if so which I think I'm right on can anyone point me towards the policy?

That's what I've always been told.....to ensure you get a good look at the customer purchasing the age restricted item so you can properly access their age and if needed check their ID.

You can use it, they enabled it during covid for social distancing but I would always go over and approve it on the till if unsure. But if there's someone who's clearly over 25 without any doubt I'd approve it from the RAP screen.

No specific policy on it as far as I'm aware but if your manager/team support doesn't want you to use the RAP screen for age restricted sales, they're within their right to tell you.
