Colleagues on UC aren't losing out. They are still getting the bonus - they will just get less government support for that month

It's about time the government introduced a pay multiple law so that those at the top can only earn a certain multiple of those at the bottom.

I would assume that it'd be a flexible working request, and come under that for reduction of hours, whether temporary or permanent it can be looked at there on either a trial basis or a permanent basis, which under that it says manager will arrange a meeting at a mutual time to discuss, however the process has to be completed within 2 months from receiving a request to responding to any subsequent appeal.

on the site there's a guide with it and a flexible working checklist and the bottom of what they'd discuss it seems, so whether that's something to go off of, if you've been fobbed off since january after submitting I would definitely raise it as a complaint that's not following policy process.

No form as far as I'm aware but not 100% sure. I asked for a permanent change in contracted hours back in January and am still being fobbed off by my manager with one excuse after another. Thinking of going above my line manager & asking the store manager.

Slightly off-topic question - can someone please let me know if there is an official way/route/form to complete in order to request a permanent change to contracted hours (reducing from 32 to 30 in this case) - is it just a case of "writing a memo to manager" -or is there a form to complete? Is there any other process which would hold this process up? Asking for a colleague who has been waiting three weeks for her manager to "come back to her" on it.

Quick question with this, in terms of the bonus payments, I have colleagues that are on UC and to avoid just losing out in general since they were unable to opt out before 3rd, it was suggested that pension was a way? - but the "estimated cost to you" is what is confusing I get that tesco matches it up to 7.5% and you can put it more, but it has 2 numbers of "total taken from your pay" and "total paid into your savings" - if the bonus was £100-150 would you just increase so the "cost to you" is that extra?

becomes so confusing to me, more used to the policy side than retirement side and i can't figure it out lol.

No surprise paying your union not mine I won't join. to sit down and sup tea and take time from real work why shouldn't he take advantage of us there's nothing to stop him
Stop paying union subs. see if that wakes them up when they are on low wages.
