Heard something interesting today, so apparently travel ex, will be taking over money grams and tesco banking, they will have a larger space in store, so this obviously means more hours lost on CSD All the loyal.staff getting shafted again, imagine lose 7/hours for flower wrapping ( that takes all of 10 minutes a week, so the cuts will be massive. Why take every thing of the staff, why not give us more? Keep us in jobs not push us out. They won't stop until there is no tesco staff in store

They won't have a business left at the rate they are going.

With Tescos strategy of minimising assets (losing Harris and Hoole, Tesco Homeplus, Euphorium Bakery, Giraffe, reducing services of Tesco bank and downsizing their international businesses) they are saving on costs but losing on potential revenue streams, not only this, by downsizing so much so fast, they're going to end up alienating their conservative middle class demographic who prefer to shop at businesses with an institutional portfolio.

Our travel money room has not reopened since the first lockdown.

A few have reopened, and one has been set up as a money and more, guess they will roll out some more and we get the chop.

Or do they go to a system where some stores have a CSD and a separate money service, and others do moneygram through CSD, or stop doing moneygram at all....... just after they standardised all stores on the combined desk!

What it looks like is they are trying not to pay out on redundancies with the CSD by having the csd staff multi task so it is much easier to say well it is no longer your main job you are multi skilled, devised by some filthy low eye Q at HO who has only ever been in front of the desk and not had the acumen to have worked behind the desk. Allegedly their basic future idea is to have all the multi skilled csd colleagues on the shopfloor and a bell to ring or pager for assistance on the csd as they remove more and more responsibilities for the csd colleagues, amazing customer service from the company who know how to alienate customer.........close down the deli that gets rid of all the pensioners who want just one or two slices for ham but spend ££ on other products and then chat about where they shop to their grand children they've gone to morrisons much better range, shut half the checkouts and put in self service for all the idiots that wish to partake in serving themselves when it costs the company money to hire checkout staff, cut cleaners and then pass the cleaning jobs on to colleagues with their slogan clean as you go ha! ha! and want the csd to be like a merry go round for staff to run and serve whilst cleaning up the dog poop on the car park what a joke !

@Batmanjo

You've summed this up perfectly.

However I think you forgot the CSD covering checkout breaks and covering the garage as well as the car park duties  :D :D
