@grim up north the idling side of it isnt relevant anymore as disciplinary appeal it was specifically set aside. For the record it was cold, no idea how cold as i wasnt there, i guess the moral of the story is even if your training or handbook or even definitions of unattended are ever on your side then dont depend on the company to see it that way, if theyre bent on giving out a disciplinary they will anyway regardless

Is there a moral of this story? How cold was the van to cause all this upset?

@old man i was there, would never not be because i do care, only issue now is whether employee decides to approach acas, if employee does then im willing to help, but where to start withh doing that im unsure of the process or how best to present the employees case, cross that bridge if it comes to it

Trial is a goahead for being made perminant in our store. Driver feedback meant very little they went off the number of drops they could fill into a slot creating a better fill %. I was on the trial hours of 12 hours days instead of 10 and wanted to go back to the 10 but overruled. Will still stay with the company as its still a better job than others out there but im now unlikely to ever pick up overtime as im too tired from the longer days.

Because it's 18 hours of minimum wage, tesco pays more than that, if your a night worker you get more than that.
