 Does anyone know if Tesco are obliged to provide car parking for staff?


No tesco are not obliged to provide car parking. How you get to work is entirely up to you. In fact if they did, the Inland Revenue would like to know about it as it is classed as a company perk, and you would, of course, be expected to declare it.

However, many staff do park in Tesco's car park, but they have no rights to, and you will find in many stores at busy periods the staff are asked to find alternative arrangements. Some stores pay for this alternative (my old store for example) and some dont.
either way, if you get parking, youre just lucky.
