Are Tesco removing the Extra format?

Honestly, it would not surprise me. Most people cant even tell the difference between a Tesco Superstore and Tesco Extra, they have cut that much of the customer offering, the Extra brand is no longer relevant. Most Extras that have a load of extra floor space and a dotcom are being converted into Urban Fulfilment centres or leased out to 3rd party companies.

All shops were I am, have had all the extra branding that was on the gable walls removed and the whole outside painted in a new grey colour scheme, seems to be the way they are going now. Only sign that remains, is the Extra sign on the roof of the shop. Even the Welcome to Tesco Extra -insert store name here - is just now Welcome to Tesco - insert store name here-

For clarity, I was being sarcastic. Not sure who's been pulling the leg of the guy who stated the rumour above me though. It's obviously been totally made up. It would make zero sense.

Where exactly has this info come from or is it just more rumours?

Not heard anything with it, be a good way to kill their profits though? Considering they are in the process of refitting them all lol

But I'd happily take redundancy same as colleagues at ours if they did but think got more chance of winning the lottery twice over.

Is there any more information on which shore are affected please?

Yeah, in a crazy move the board have decided to close hundreds of large profit making stores for no apparent reason which will also cost them a ridiculous amount of money in redundancy pay...

To ensure a smooth transition, user accounts with usernames and passwords would be preserved.

For user privacy, all emails could be permanently deleted during the transfer. We can discuss the option of deleting direct messages as well, depending on user preference.

@lucgeo wish there was a way to archive or take over the site, a friend of mines actually has an i.t. Company and also the know how to do it, but alas wouldnt be of interest to him sadly, i do know about the partnership agreement and indeed policies for our people. But in this case anyway the definition as you already know of what unattended means still got twisted to suit the company agenda. I wont be pushing this one any further unless the employee insists as they still have rights to acas and tribunal, me helping tho would be much harder tho mainly due to this wonderful site and the people within it
