New ciggerettes laws
« on: 23-01-20, 06:56PM »
As from April, no menthol ciggerettes will be on sale, this includes duels and crush all type, do we expect to see even more hours cut on the csd? We are at the bone as it is.

Tobacco will still be available to purchase unless it has an added flavour to it, although this has been banned since 2017.
Rizla have launched infusion cards. They can be added to a pack of cigarettes or tobacco for 60 minutes which give you a menthol flavour. So not all bad news if your a smoker.

Duals are not included in the ban I don't think, as they can be smoked as normal cigs.

According to a rep Duals are going and instead they are going to pack 2 10packs in one wrap and call it Dual. She expressed major concerns about people being unhappy with buying essentially a different product and the fact the customer helpline they were setting up had minimal staffing

We have these 10 pack duals in our store already. Their wrapped in a leaf like cigars are. Many customers have tried them already and said they taste disgusting.

I defiantly think they will shave more hours off the department, after all when produce stopped putting place of origin for bananas, that took them about 25 seconds to do, they lost 5 hours!!!!!, beggars belief how they can just keep cutting away.

We lost 7 hours when that change came in, even the S.M at the time was left speechless and that really was a first.
