It’s 6 hours when you’re driving, don’t know if c&c will be the same.

After 5 hours 30 minutes of driving you must take a break of at least 30 minutes for rest and refreshment.

Or, within any period of 8 hours 30 minutes, you must take at least 45 minutes in breaks. You must also have a break of at least 30 minutes at the end of this period, unless it’s the end of the working day.

The Working Time Regulations 1998 state the following provision for rest breaks at work and time off:

Rest breaks at work
A worker is entitled to an uninterrupted break of 20 minutes when daily working time is more than six hours. It should be a break in working time and should not be taken either at the start, or at the end, of a working day.

I work in Click and Collect and even though we drive a van up and down to pick up and drop off orders we are not classed as drivers. I do an 8 hr shift and get an hour's break (well supposed to get an hour's break)

My main problem when occasionally covering C&C is hoping that all the orders are collected before the end of the slot in time for me to grab a quick loo break (pod other side of car park from the store).
