SAYE options after redundancy?
« on: 07-06-19, 04:06PM »
My wife has misplaced the letter from Equiniti. What options does she have with her SAYE savings. If it has been covered before, my apologies. Thanks in advance👍

1.use the money she has in saye to buy shares at the option price.
2.Carry on saving until maturity and you will get all money back(basically a saving plan without any interest)
3.Take all your money out as cash.
I got my letter today. J

Could you share the postcode on the return envelope for the SAYE letter. I got the SAYE and SIP in two separate letters with 2 different postcodes. Don’t want to send the wrong one back to the wrong place. Although the address is the same it’s the postcodes are different. TIA

Anybody select the option to exercise your option but get a refund of cash?

I was expecting to get a lot more than what put into my bank.

This is what it says on the online portal

You have chosen to have your cash savings returned to you. However, you can still exercise your share option and have until 29/10/2019. Find out more…

But when I click find it more it doesn’t give me any options or info about exercising my option.

Anyone any ideas?

I exercised to buy shares with the 3 saye I have running , £.190 , £1.68 & £1.88 respectively so each 1 has made a healthy profit as yesterday shares were £2.28

Have you received a letter from Equiniti yet to give your instructions as to what you would like to do with your SAYE?

It's a waiting game now before they release shares into your share account and then you can do what ever with your shares.

I returned mine on the 6/6 selecting the option to buy shares, I have 5 saye, and yesterday noticed that one of them, which was the last one taken out has been converted to shares, the other 4 will be done by the 11th July, not really sure why, because it was not really explained.  Oh and the last one was a 3 year option the other 4 were 5 year options, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I just contacted equinti I returned my forms stating 2 instructions, exercise my option and return the cash. So rather than them contact me on my mobile number which I filled into each form they just returned the cash into my account. They said they done this as I can still exercise my option. I now have to return the money to them by writing 5 cheques and add a cover letter. Pain in the ass when a 2 min phone call would have saved all this.

I opted to buy the shares so do I get a share cert or do equiniti convert to shares and hold them until you're  ready to sell them??  As I wanted to buy the shares and sell straight away but when I rung equiniti I was told that was not an option if you had left.

I need to the money asap!!!!

As my previous post.  If you're opted for shares then they will be put into your share account and you will be able to do live share dealing in order to sell all or part of your holding.  Hope this helps.

Wizard

Please read my earlier post.
You will only get certificates if requested from the shares in your SIP account if you had any.

You can also do telephone dealing.  You will need your share reference number.

I sold my shares just before I finished but wasnt able to do it online as my shareholder ref number could never be recognised. I ended up ringing and getting a postal selling  form , They were able to sell my shares but also because I didn't have a certificate I had to pay an additional fee of £50 for them to sell them. In total it cost £120 for my shares to be sold with a missing certificate.

hi folks I'm likely to be taking early retirement soon and have 3 SAYE accounts what are my options? Will I be able to by shares at the option price, how can I avoid losing a lot of money?
