Hi.  Sorry but could not find anything about ‘The Hub’ and how it works.

A few people in the store where I work have been investigated for various wrong doings.

What is the process for misconduct?  Can they be given a first final warning?

Disciplinary proceedings for misconduct can result in a wide range of outcomes from No further Action to dismissal. I'd advise you speak to a rep to see where your particular case is likely to lead.

The hub is the system being introduced where stores cctv will be centrally monitored, and any issues communicated to the store manager. A big one is pulling / pushing roll cages incorrectly. Possible gross misconduct ( under h and s).

So when’s the hub being fully rolled out. Our store still has a guard day and night. Thought this was being introduced to our store a while back but nothing’s seems to have come of it.

Will stores be informed when they are under the Hub?

We have had the hub over a year now, and still have guard cover it was increased on the last round of reviewing guard hours. It does not replace a guard and I’ve never had or heard of a call from the hub, although seen plenty of hub cases all in retrospect.

Yes, as the system has to be fitted into the stores, we all got a A4 sheet of paper telling us what was happening and that any breach of policy found by the hub may result in an investigation and possible action.
