Any ideas how much time and money has been spent on Oracle? Just like everything else the company tries to launch I.T. wise. Nothing ever works correctly and always ends up launching years later than originally planned.

My sm (express) doesn't even work 30 hours a week, rocks up @ 10am ish , has an hour for lunch then 4.30ish is getting resdy to go home after a busy day lol. 1 SM to for 2 express sites would work, time to clear all the dead wood out

The only way to make Dot Comedy profitable is to close it down completely and fire everyone who works there. >:D

The question is which dept do they go for? I know stores now that have no one on the shop floor during AM times, and with no guard it's a shop lifters paradise, so it makes you wonder if stock control and the back-doormen will be next to go?
So, because you say there are stores with no-one on the shop floor in the morning, and because there are no guards, some have become a shoplifters paradise, you extrapolate that stock control and backdoor could be next to go.
Outstanding bit of scaremongering detective work there Sherlock.

Stock Control has been rumoured to be going over the last decade but it's still currently in place.....

Stock control are unlikely to be going anywhere, having been given the long life date coding recently as an extra duty.

Additionally from what I gather, the trials done some time ago regarding removal of stock control via outsourcing to departments were an utter disaster.

now the processes are in place , I can see a cull of hours in Stock control, more tasks , less time saves money

About time price integrity was sorted out, why the need to change prices everyday? Why not just have the promotion and then leave the prices alone until the promo ends? Would save a lot of wasted time and paper, the miscellaneous changes are not needed.

I agree with you StinyPoo - I work on PI and we have 2 of us on a 7-12 shift and 2 in morning 5.30-9.30 shift. A lot of times it would only need one on each shift apart from the full change, H&B changes, I would 99% agree with you on the misc but some of the Misc can be increases or decreases not many but it does happen but it is a pain putting them out when you know the label is already out but might have different wording etc,

We do end up helping filling but not for long as most of the filling is already allocated for twilights,

But I agree PI needs re structuring!

Stinky poo, totally agree with you pi is a mess and needs to be sorted soon, management insist on putting hrs in wrong place.  A proper guide is needed even if it means moving people around a bit, our store fails time after time only time we are green is on non HB night where there are no promos.

Should never have given pi to night managers don't give a damn a lady retired off pi a couple of weeks ago so what do advertise the job on the quietest nights one of the nights does include promo night but hrs are 10pm till 7 how they hope to be legal by 12 is beyond me.

It is well known nights and hrs are to suit someone they want to get job not hrs needed  >:(

Maybe the week after Xmas and new years was a dry run of that with the amount of produce stock the stores got in.  :D
