"Whole store scheduler". All schedules / OT managed through tablets. Requires lot of prep work including staff training, OT and registers always 4 weeks in advance, availability forms for all staff and more. Everyone to be silver trained / validated on their own dept AND any other dept where they wish to work OT. Dept OT requests (in hours not ££) are reviewed each week at a resource meeting (4wks ahead) and then allowed OT is booked onto the tablet by name. There will be a tablet by clocking machine for individuals to book their own OT. Ultimately it will link to online hol booking, payroll etc. Sick calls require duty manager to update the schedule via a tablet. Several stores already trialling this.
