Shoppers in an upmarket town have been left devastated after their local Tesco pulled aubergines from shelves. Outraged customers in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, were told their superstore had discontinued the vegetable and that it would only be made available upon request.

Devastated, outraged   :o I wish that was all I had to worry about   :-X

I expect aubergines were too popular in that store. It's always the popular lines that Tesco likes to discontinue.

If it’s like most discontinued products in my local shop, they’ll reappear under a ‘new’ label with a decent price increase. Seems a regular tactic my way
