days worked for pay received on 01.06.18

The payslip for the pay that we received on 01.06.18 is for 'tax period 16'. What is the first day of work that payslip is paying me for and what is the last day of work that it is paying me for?

It’s paying you basic pay from the Sunday after the May pay day up until Saturday 2nd June.

Thanks. I was always told that each pay period ran from the Thursday a week before the Friday pay day and the new pay period started on the Friday a week before pay day. I have always checked my payslips carefully and they have always matched with this. I quit on Friday 01.06.18 and was told I would get my last weeks pay in 4 weeks time. I waited 4 weeks and the payslip I got not only didn't pay me for the last week of work; it took about £60 off me as 'CR' which apparently is a credit. That's me crediting Tosca.

If you quite on the 01.06 you will have been paid any basic up until sat the 2nd June . The Thursday the week before payday is overtime cut off date not basic. We don't run a week in arrears in tesco. The 60 pound taken off will probably have been either one of your contracted shifts was sat 2nd June or you had used more holidays than accrued upon date of lesving.

I didn't write it, Tosca did and Emma Taylor, People Director signed it. I am grateful for your input but also confused as to how my contract, which must be legally binding, appears to contradict what you claim.

Yeh that’s right you get paid on the Friday for previous 4 weeks you have just worked upto payday ( in Tesco case the sat ) it doesn’t mean you a month behind and getting paid for the hrs you did up to the previous pay period. If you google arrears in pay terminology it will explain it to you .
