Tricky topic. The law alows you to film, make pictures in public. You cant intrude ppls privacy by pointing camera in people homes, gardens on purpose.
Filming interiors might be huge breach of privacy without consent.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was in the Terms & Conditions for online shopping.

Not heard of this but wondering if you've got it right? We have been told that all new dotcom vans will have a driver facing camera inside the cab to film drivers.

This happens with distribution hgv drivers. They all have a camera facing the road and one on the driver. All the hgv drivers just put something in front of the facing camera like a sun visor. At the end of the day it's against your rights but if something was to happen out on the road like a crash or something then it could prove fatal if it was to end up in court.

Distribution hgv drivers do have a camera facing forward and also a camera on their left window mirror pointing down the trailer, however the camera in the cab is a myth it is not activated!

Would that not be a great thing to do , Its what gets drivers to follow the rules ,and when they dont it allows them to be charged and jailed like that truck driver that was texing when he went into the back of cars at a stand still  :(,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

If they want to go down this route then it will be going against the reasons they gave for not allowing drivers dashcams.
The first time they try this with me my dash cam goes back in the van!!

Of those that do many are dangling down as the glue used to stick them to the windscreen is inadequate.

Fortunately the passenger side visor can be used to jam them safely out of harms way.

Only a potentially dangerous dangling camera.

And the fact the company has put hidden cameras in the vans previously to film drivers.
