Who wants to bet that the last one for this year will be in December and it will be instead of the booklet of vouchers?
Dave got to save some more money from somewhere to ensure he gets another bonus!

Aldi’s and Lidl’s are cheaper I bought similar products over a four month period and each month I have saved 120 pounds that includes the discount we get.

Firstly, question to Hammer10> £120 monthly saving at Aldi/Lidl versus your normal Tesco shop (with your 10% discount). Can I ask what your normal monthly spend is? So, what % does £120 represent? I buy a "few" bits in Aldi (no Lidl close to me) ......and yes, they can be cheaper - but equally I find when stuff is on offer in Tesco (fairly regularly), then there's not a lot of difference in the price. And the inevitable wait in the queue can be annoying. It seems the Aldi I go to doesn't seem to operate the normal "chuck your stuff in your trolley and pack over by the wall (please)" policy -

Amd then to Helpme> We did get a double discount in December last year - it's quite probable it will probably be December again - although I'm not sure Tesco really want to do it in December - for a start it means 40% off if we use the £1 off £5 booklet vouchers - ok only on £100 .....but basically just because it's Christmas - and people buy stuff and spend money anyway - so no need to offer the double discount incentive - so I wouldn't be surprised if it therefore was in November.....

I do still think we'll get the booklets - similar to the payday booklets though - over the last few years, they've been getting worse and worse (in terms of the other coupons other than the 20x£1 off £5 spend.

I'm sure now we've all lost our bonus that there will be plenty of money in the pot to pay Dave and his mates a few million in bonuses - whilst also being awarded shares!!

Just remember, we're all in this together.

No the exact same as Tesco and others. You need to try to find out not going back now.Tesco could smash these little companies into the ground if they were not so greedy with the profit they want to make.

Hammer10. So you're claiming aldi is 30% cheaper than tesco? Dont think so. I shop in both. Some items are cheaper in aldi but not by 30% & have to admit the quality isnt as good. I tried battered fish from aldi last week & when cutting into it on my plate, the plate was just flooded with water. Never had this with battered fish from tesco.

The only things I find better in lidl than in tesco are the bakery items, the meat and the fresh fruit.

I think it depends on what you buy, as to what % of saving you make. How long's a piece of string  ???

When I left Tesco admittedly I was going to miss the 10% discount but the way the whole situation was handled and the way we were treated I decided to shop elsewhere.

So off we went in May 2019 to our new Asda down the road. wow I was shocked we bought the same items each week (have 2 hungry kids! ) and it came out £15 cheaper for us 4 per week so I don't miss the 10% discount one bit.

One example is our kids love fruit in their lunch box so for example grapes in Tesco bought them for 2 x £2 a tub each week = £4 minus the 10% discount so I paid £3.60 but at Asda I pay £1 a tub for the same grapes each week! just on a simple item like this we save £7.20 a month. I checked my shopping bill on my bank account and its gone from £87 a week to £70 and shopping list hasn't changed (except kids get Asda own cereals instead of tesco own cereals etc lol)

Friday 6am to tomorrow, Monday, at 11pm.  Doesn’t always start on same day, we usually get a weeks notice, sometimes it lasts a week if we’re lucky.
