I was expecting it to be a little lower than that to be honest.

In the dim and distant past, the discount to the market price used to be 20% - but for the last few years (at least 4 I think) it's been 10%

The market price being taken at a set point in time (or might be an average over a few days) - but regardless......

in the past week or so, the price has hovered around 210p, so 10% discount on that = £1.89.

So £1.88 shouldn't have come as a big shock.

Take a long term view.

In 5yrs once Brexit is resolved the share price should rise....
If it doesn't just cash in your savings.

What's the verdict on today's share price at £1.97 despite all the claims that profits are up  ? In my opinion it's only because all food prices are so much higher and not that individual sales have increased. Not so long ago that the shares were £2.66 and rumoured to be going over the £3 mark and now they have dropped like a stone. Please don't blame Brexit again. Other companies are doing fine.

Does anyone know when the proceeds from the 3yr SAYE will be paid into bank? I chose to sell mine straight away, it says the shares would be sold last Friday & the proceeds paid into salary account 2 days later. Still not received mine this morning. Anyone else got theirs?

It's the residual money that is left over from shares being bought that goes in after 2 days . If it was a 3yr £20 plan , £1.24 would have went in today . Proceeds from sale of shares is 3-5days on one letter and 5-10days on an email . I'm thinking they'll be in by Friday.

I would cash in as soon as DL finishes his restructuring to deliver the £1.5 billion in savings on operations. As soon as he does the last bit of restructuring (which makes sense if it was shortly before Brexit) i would cash in then, share prices will be at an artificial high and will then plummet as soon as the impact of Brexit and too many cuts take effect.

Hi, I can't find my info at this moment, so... If I join BAYE, can I opt out of it at any time or is there a minimum time period of how long buying instalments are deducted?

Thank you.

You can either become a supporter at £2 a year and start your own fresh topic (the option will become available once you become a supporter), OR you can find a thread that deals with a similar topic or area, and reply to it.

What happens if I leave tesco after starting my account?

https://www.ourtesco.com/benefit/save-as-you-earn/

says:
>However you’ll not be able to buy shares at the Option Price if you leave within three years of the option grant date.

Does that mean I'll not benefit at all if I plan to leave in say, 1 year after starting the scheme?

No. If you leave before the end of the scheme you will just get your money back that you have paid in.
