I'm a union rep and have not heard anything at all. Knew senior team were meeting in Newbury today (nice plush hotel) and apparently there was an email sent to sm to brief tl 2 weeks ago I keep asking the sm about it and he says he will circulate it but hasn't yet. Think it is disgusting that there has been little or no communication. Also I know that in Southampton home plus they found out they were closing due to the news unbelievable!

It's a sad day when your logging on here to find out what's happening in your company instead of just finding out at work... I thought the way Dave Lewis had handled things had been good up to now but this is a massive own goal

still laying bets that some PM or SM is going to let the proverbial cat out of the bag before the day is done .from this day on the company can shove their so called values . lewis is only interested in the share price .

If you want to know what is happening, just stand near any senior manager on the shopfloor. They all discuss confidential info while strolling around trying to look busy!

I wonder if I emailed Dave Lewis and suggested a meeting with all the TL invited for a question and answer session he would agree to it.  ???

The problem now is that all sm were told on 12 February. As it got a big build up that we would find out after that this is people's jobs & lives. Just come out with a statement & brief everybody today rather than this hold up.

Question... Team Leader on step up playing manager... Is he still a TL and susceptible to this? He's hoping lol

If he's a step up but still on TL rate yes he is. He may continue playing manager though on a ca rate. Good luck to him if he's fool enough to do it.

Part of me thinks,
Now that the SM's know, they can get ready to brief everyone (even those on holiday, sick etc), which may be the reason for the delay.
The more cynical side says,
Now they can work through with their "team" who they really want to keep and "manage out" the ones they don't!
Or even more cynical,
It is so they can enter meaningful negotiations with USDAW!!!
