Middlesbrough woman Kirsty Reidy says she was enjoying lunch at work when she encountered an unwelcome addition to her bowl of Tesco’s Simple Salad.

Bringing her fork to her mouth, she suddenly realised that on the end of it was an almost complete grasshopper.

Insects surname was Cassidy.

https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/local-news/i-cant-believe-fed-baby-2265436

Quote
The couple told Lincolnshire Live they gave one bottle to eight-and-a-half month old baby Alfie later that day, but when the next bottle was opened Mrs Turner was shocked to find a layer mould floating on top of the milk.

The family then checked the bottles and saw they were almost three months out of date.
Given that some will criticise the parents for not checking the date, it does not excuse the fact this should not happen.

Quote
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re really sorry that Oliver was able to buy baby milk which was past its best before date.

"We have robust processes in place to prevent this sort of incident happening and we are sorry that our high standards haven’t been met on this occasion.
The preceding  pages indicate you do not have robust procedures and most probably not enough staff.

Evidence of rodents gnawing at bread packaging was uncovered at a Tesco store in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim when food safety inspectors went to the premises after receiving a consumer complaint.

Tesco operate “to the highest health and hygiene standards and regrets this issue arose and inconvenienced customers”.  ;D  :D

A student has vowed never to return to Tesco after taking a bite out a profiterole and discovering the cream inside had gone blue with mould.

Niamh Marie Scott was disgusted by the stomach churning find and immediately spat the pudding out.

Makes me feel ill thinking about it.

Andrew Lee from Swansea, South Wales discovered the foul item in his tinned Tesco beef curry and posted an image of it to the firm’s social media page.

Andrew, 31, himself joked that the grim item was either a human belly button or a “cat’s anus”.

Tesco customer finds 'mouldy' rice pudding in Gateshead store

Quote
A Tesco customer felt "physically sick" after finding a mouldy tin of rice pudding in a Gateshead store.

Scott Hill claims he spotted flies and maggots circling the Ambrosia tin found on a pallet near the bread aisle in the Tesco Extra in Trinity Square.

The 21-year-old filmed the disgusting discovery and says it left him feeling so ill he had to leave the store.

Quote
management were made "fully aware" about the incident, and "feedback" will be given to colleagues to ensure it wouldn't happen again.
I'm sure I've read that somewhere before  :o

Obviously a slow news day in Gateshead .........
Hope the poor chap is now over his trauma.
Does he not know it is against civil law to film on private property without permission .... perhaps we should sue ......

A Croydon man who slaved over a special chicken dinner for friends for hours was disgusted when it "oozed" open to reveal extremely unappetising green insides.

Lewis-John Robinson was cooking Sunday dinner for 10 friends but it was ruined when the chicken he'd bought that day from a Tesco in Addiscombe was so revolting, it made him throw up.

Quote
A HUNGRY Tesco customer has taken the supermarket to task after his "all day breakfast" ciabatta contained barely enough calories to get him to lunchtime.

Jon Baylis accused Tesco of "having a laugh" on discovering the £2.75 snack contained half a sausage, miniature "rashers" of bacon and a few fragments of egg.

Could have done with a bit of rat ( or horse  :D  ) to fill this Ciabatta.

Shopper finds ‘hair’ in Tesco pasta – but it’s actually mushroom

Quote
But the supermarket giant has insisted that what he found was actually "mushroom fibres".

Unfortunately Dale had already binned the food and was unable to return it but says the supermarket issued with him a refund and £10 as a gesture of goodwill.

Insisting on what something is even when you have had no opportunity to examine it is a bit much.  Did not know we had clairvoyants in the company.

Tesco customer's shock at finding long strange blob in his mouth after sipping juice
Quote
Dan Hellens, 28, was shocked to find a long brown stringy blob in his mouth after taking a sip of his Tesco apple juice, only for it to turn out to be a form of mould.

Dan, from March, called the grim-looking blob Frederick and reached out to Tesco on social media, documenting his journey to return the "worm".

R.I.P. Frederick  :'(
