So can you be job matched to 2 part time roles makeing it full time with out any say

If it's on the same dept, within your availability window and you're already full time, then yes.

All stock control is classed as one dept in the new role structure now, so yes as full time hours are now across the entire dept.

Soon robots will be counting the stock and it will be another chance at redundancy for stock control.

I am full time & haven’t been job matched.  I’ve been given a list of available jobs, if I apply & get offered something will that mean I can no longer decide to take my redundancy?  Or have I got up until the end of the consultation process to change my mind?

You can do a four week trial on an offered different job to decide if you want it or not, then take redundancy if not suitable at the end of the four weeks. The trial has to be for four weeks, you cannot end it earlier than that.

I have been told I can leave at anytime during the 4 week trial and still get my redundancy. I had a interview today for a job outside of tesco and find out next week if I get it so just using the tesco job as a back up incase i dont get the one i interviewed for today.

Sorry if this has already been asked. I was job matched to my current role on fresh food stock control. I only work 7.5 hours per week. I have just been offered a full time job outside of Tesco and can no longer do my shifts. Do I have to leave or can I go back and put myself at risk of redundancy.

If you were job matched then you are not at risk of redundancy, take the full time job and cut your losses would be my advice.

This is not what our affected colleagues were told. Get it in clarified in writing.

Yes I understand that I was job matched but now my circumstances have now changed and the consultation process is still ongoing. My availability has changed.

You are unable to change your availability once the process has begun, they have offered you a suitable role in your own dept for your given availability, so the choice is yours now, to take it or leave. You were never under the threat of redundancy, your job role was, but that role has remained for your availability, so it is not a redundancy issue now, it's a job offer for you to accept or decline. If they offered you a job in a different dept or dropped your hours for your own dept that would be a redundancy issue.

Khaldrogo , for you ,you only have to give a weeks notice and leave ,you were job matched and weren’t offered redundancy so are free to leave at any time . Take the full time job outside of tesco and get out asap .

Please does anyone know if we can see heat map as I’ve asked the question and it’s being ignored.

Yes you can ask to see the heat map and it should be presented and explained to you where the hours sit.

If I've posted this already, I apologise, but these changes are an absolute farce.

A well liked colleague on Counters was told his temporary contract was coming to an end, next month.

Next thing? I overhear the SM saying there were some vacancies on Counters and to apply for any they were interested in.

Am also led to believe the Fresh/Counters Manager asked Counter Colleagues to barely fill out their Availability Forms before screwing them over big time.

Has anyone been told to comfirm their intentions towards job interest or redundancy by the 19th of april and where do we stand on them increasing hours on jobs for people matched surely them hours should have been put into the pool at the start

Yes people were told to confirm by the 19th. The reason for this is to collate the remaining available hours/vacancies that have not been accepted by affected colleagues who have chosen redundancy. So those hours were in the pool, just declined. Hence the reason that some matched colleagues are being given increased hours on their matched availability. If they are increasing your current contracted hours, then that is for you to accept or decline.

So I was not job matched, have had my 2nd consultation now were I was shown more vacancies than in the first meeting, showed an interest in one vacancy was told it didn't fit in with my availability but I could change my availability by one day which I agreed to, to then be "persuaded" to go over 2 departments that would fit my availability which I said OK but I would still like to apply for the first one just to cover my back. "Oh there is no need for that" so OK I didn't apply for it.  Come to work today to find out from another member of staff WHO IS NOT AFFECTED WHAT SO EVER BY THESE CHANGES that THEY have been offered the second job I was going to apply for but haven't as I was persuaded otherwise!!!

I am absolutely fuming! It should be affected colleagues only! This person gets on very well with the manager over the department he's been recommended for and I just feel like if I complain it will get me no were as its all very biased within stores anyway or I may loose out on the job I have gone for if I do put a complaint in and as for going to the union about it!
  >:(

You are still in consultation....ask about the other job, part of the consultation process is that all AFFECTED colleagues are interviewed for a vacancy if more than one apply. So if no one else applied for that position, it would automatically be given to you, it most certainly should not have been given to an unaffected colleague during the process, and certainly not prior to the deadline of the 19th for colleagues to express an interest.

If you are told that the you cannot apply as it is after the closing date of the 19th....plead ignorance to the deadline....you were not informed of the timeline, you only became aware of it when speaking to the union area office regarding your confusion over the consultation process, and were told that un affected colleagues should not be offered vacancies, and as the vacancy was offered before the deadline of 19th, then the offer should be withdrawn, and the process followed by only interviewing affected colleagues who have expressed an interest.

Stand your ground on this, as any grievances regarding process not being followed, will be sent to the area people's manager, who is overseeing the process. It should not be dealt with instore by mates of the managers.

28 years and taking redundancy and I have pre booked the whole week off from last year. Told I have accrued no holidays so may not be paid the full week so I have to “think” about cancelling them and working what I can.

Whoa hang on......you have accrued a weeks frozen pay from when you started. It is based on the hours you did then, not now. It's what we used to call " week in hand"

no necessarily, I think that only went on for a year or 2 and 28 years ago they were not doing it.

Does anyone know where the grievance policy is on Our Tesco? Or supply a link please? I'm just getting Page not found which seems odd? Thank you!

All the people policies are currently "page not found" so may have to wait a day or 2 to be able to access them again, not sure what they've gone and screwed up now.

We get paid as normal on 3rd May. So I believe, outstanding payments for Pay Period Friday 26th April till 11th May will be paid on 31st May, along with bonus, and all redundancy elements, including Payment in Lieu of Notice. Notice does not have to be worked, so yes you don’t have to work any notice period, but will be paid for it (that will start Sunday 12th of May).

Regarding Kaled78 post about cash office restructure, I was also told by someone a couple of weeks ago that the cash office is about to go through changes. It’ll be interesting to know what’s happening as obviously something must be in the pipeline.
