WMTY Result Sept 2018

What were your stores actual results? I am aware that many will have an axe to grind and that many will equally strongly support the company. So hopefully these motivations can be put to one side, and the true results of your store and or department can be provided here. If you do not know the results for your store, then find out, don't just make something up because it fits your personal narrative.


Note to Mods
I do realize that this could quite easily have been added to numerous other posts, however, my purpose for posting this with the above title is in the hope that it can be the first in a regular series for every WMTY, eg..
What Matters To You...Result Sept 2019,...What Matters To You...Result Sep 2020 etc
Those at the shop-floor level deserve to know the bigger picture of how the company is doing on the measures that it expects colleagues to give their input on.
If the moderators can think of a better way of doing this, or feel that this post is redundant in anyway, I will gladly bow to their greater experience and ask them to delete this post.

seeing as we havent seen the results of the last 2 then i expect another no show. if it was good i reckon it would be plastered all over the place, not holding my breath lol

Some people never got asked to fill it in and others got asked twice. Not once have I seen a set of results. It is the same things people write year after year. #YCDBSOYA

We have been told we have a blue but no details yet. We have action plans up on wall from last one and I have seen action plans in other stores in the area.
I do think the sign in needs to be changed. Disgruntled ex employees could sign in and like others have mention some could complete the survey more than once. Having a unique sign in each that can also not be traced back to an individual may be difficult. The ivory towers must know all this though and must have decided that upon balance the survey is working the way they want or it is pending an update we don't know about. It did start on paper to homes, was updated to paper in stores as people complained were expected to fill in at home in own time. It is now at home or in store, questions have changed. They keep telling us that we should strongly agree or strongly disagree as the between measures don't count so I question why we have them. It should just have yes or no.

They very rarely change anything for the better anyway so as has been said countless times, it's a complete waste of time filling it in.

Our store manager was at the store computer filling in Wmty , as last time results were so bad, nothing was done In action plan and he didn't want the same results . . More staff filled in the form than are at the store  ....that's because he must have done more to make the results look better .

Ours was blue, the results on the wall by dept....looks a tad wrong far too many 100% and by my working out only half the store completed it, half of those hid behind not stating a dept.

Remarkably one dept with a manager off sick, manages to score 100% for every question....says it all.

The staff all complained they didn’t know they had the option to do the survey or when it was.

It always amazes me the amount of staff who say they didn't know the survey was on. It was in Team 5 and on OurTesco and the weekly OurTesco email even had the link.

Having said that it's about time security on the survey was tightened up. As everyone now has a unique login for their payslips why cant this id be used to access this survey. Have seen thru my career multiple managers filling in numerous surveys to get a 100% result using the login that hasn't changed for years.

The break down will always be flawed as if you were to answer the questions honestly it would no longer be anonymous.

Does it need to be anonymous? Surely it's only asking for feedback and no one should be using it to make a point they wouldn't say face to face.

It would be very easy to make it anonymous. The company who runs WMTY simply has to send to the home address of every employee an unique random code for getting on the survey. Even they don't need to know what it is as long as the system does but it will allow one chance for each member of staff and stop the abuse which is seen of the current one.

Haven't had a team 5 since they demoted our team leader, OurTesco only recognises my login occasionally, and am still unable to access my payslips to print off ??? ???

I know many a night team that were unaware of the survey....no posters up instore and SM's giving instructions to keep it quiet from the night teams.

We have had no results again .i also know that most of my colleagues did not fill in the survey, selected people were asked. Again it's a way to manipulate figures to try and show they are listening. Listening and integrity have gone from our company !

I asked for a copy of the report in my store as I was aware that they had not made a big deal of it and they did not announce any results so assumed they were hiding the bad results as usual, they would have announced it everywhere with team 5, manager meetings, posters, one on ones, and all the other usual fanfare and bluff. So in my store major ones are as follows -

recommend to work down 10 points since last July, recommend to shop down 21 points since last July

Top 3 open comments themes that need improved 1. Working with others, 2. Communications, 3. Reward and Recognition.

Top 3 one thing to change to improve for customers 1. Product Availability, 2. Customer Service, 3. Easy shopping experience.

Just looking at the breakdown of all the question stats and every single one is a minus ranging from -1 to -18

seems I was correct in why this one was kept quiet.

The results were positive but we scored low when it came to staff moral. No surprise!
