Post by: Miremare on 11-02-20, 08:47AM
hi

do these happen as they are supposed to
i.e. when drivers have returned from
8am morning and afternoon rum
9am morning and afternoon run
6pm evening run
7pm evening run

who does the debrief ( drivers back safe) meetings
do the drivers have to chase managers
do they work

Do you mean anything more than saying "Hi, I am back" to the dot.com shift runner for the morning run or to the duty manager for the afternoon or evening run?  We have a form to sign to highlight any issues and recently they have cracked down on the drivers seeing the duty manager by insisting that we hand the van key back to them in person who is then responsible for putting the keys into secure storage overnight.

Never heard of or had a debrief, all we have is what gomezz is talking about a form that we G/R customer, operations and safe/legal which is signed by the 9-7, 6-10 and 7-11 shift. The sheet is rarely completed by every driver and there isn't always a team support around so its very possible that a night driver could not be accounted for.

We had one old bloke who first time he was allowed out on his own in the evening was very late getting back.  Of course he became known as The Midnight Cowboy.   ;D
