Title: Holiday mixup?
Post by: callumt94 on 20-02-19, 06:57PM
Hi,

I was informed that I had holidays left to take before the end of March. I already had a week booked off, so these additional holidays were just put on the end of my original week off. I double checked whether this was right, but was told that I 100% had additional holidays that needed allocating. A few days into my additional holidays I’ve just had a phone call stating I have gone over on my holiday allowance, and that I may need to either owe time or take the time unpaid. I don’t feel this is fair as I was told I had holidays and they were put in for me, despite me questioning how I still had more to take.

Just wondering where I stand in this case? I don’t feel it’s fair to lose money because of a mistake made by someone else, that I had no part it.

@callum,
Just a quick question, did your payslip indicated that you had extra holidays?

My payslip said I had 1 holiday, 4 bank holidays, and a personal day to take.

If I understand you correctly, the total number of days to be taken were 6 days, correct me if am wrong, normally the payslip information(sometimes mistakes do happen) if you feel you had extra holidays and they are mistaken, ask the wages, they will sort it out.

Check that it is down as p/d and not gone in as holiday
