Had to take daughter to hospital other day, letter received well in advance of it but on the day became clear it was going to run over till after start of my shift, so i called the duty line 3 hours or so prior to shift start to give them as much warning as possible, does this clearly come into the realms of a domestic absence which i believe shouldnt be counted in your absence percentage, i havent had to have time off of this nature for many years.

It does not count as you can pay back the time, take unpaid or take as holiday.
