A student has vowed never to return to Tesco after taking a bite out a profiterole and discovering the cream inside had gone blue with mould.

Niamh Marie Scott was disgusted by the stomach churning find and immediately spat the pudding out.

Makes me feel ill thinking about it.

Obviously a slow news day in Gateshead .........
Hope the poor chap is now over his trauma.

QuoteA Croydon man who slaved over a special chicken dinner for friends for hours was disgusted when it "oozed" open to reveal extremely unappetising green insides.

Lewis-John Robinson was cooking Sunday dinner for 10 friends but it was ruined when the chicken he'd bought that day from a Tesco in Addiscombe was so revolting, it made him throw up.

Mmmm, yummy. Could have sold it on Craigslist, it's definitely a delicacy somewhere.  :D

Tesco customer's shock at finding long strange blob in his mouth after sipping juice
Quote
Dan Hellens, 28, was shocked to find a long brown stringy blob in his mouth after taking a sip of his Tesco apple juice, only for it to turn out to be a form of mould.

Dan, from March, called the grim-looking blob Frederick and reached out to Tesco on social media, documenting his journey to return the "worm".

R.I.P. Frederick  :'(

A Croydon Tesco Express store's been given a shocking food hygiene rating

QuoteThe store, within Saffron Square on Wellesley Road, was visited by inspectors on August 21.

The findings of the inspection have only just been published on the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website, with the store given a food hygiene rating of one out of five - the second lowest possible and meaning "major improvement necessary".

A Croydon Council inspector visited the supermarket on behalf of the FSA and said "hygienic food handling" by staff needed some improvement, as did the cleanliness and condition of the shop.

The management of food safety was also judged to need major improvement by the inspector.

Deadly Brazilian wandering spiders found in bananas sold at Tesco grocery store, family claims
QuoteThe spiders were reportedly identified as Brazilian wandering spiders, one of the most venomous in the world, according to Live Science. If left untreated, a bite from one of these spiders can be deadly, especially to children.

Pest controllers have sealed off the family’s home for two weeks to make sure none of the spiders are still living in the area, The Sun reports.

“They take two hours to kill a human. It was terrifying,” Price told The Sun. “We had to make sure the kids were safe, that comes above anything. It was a hard 48 hours, I can assure you.”

QuoteA Tesco shopper said she was left 'vomiting for 12 hours' after she allegedly discovered a dead mouse in her ready meal.

Cath McCall Smith, from Durham, said she was unwell after apparently finding a dead rodent in a £3.75 chicken tray bake from Tesco.

The 57-year-old said she initially thought she had hit a piece of bone, but was instead left horrified when looked down and spotted the mouse.

Would be funny if it wasn't so serious  :o

QuoteThe first message from Tesco said: "From the picture you've sent, it looks like the insects you found are psocids. They're common household pests and are completely harmless.

"They prefer to live in dark, warm, humid places and dislike light or disturbance. They're often found in dry foods such as sugar, flour, powdered milk and semolina.

Buy your flour or sugar from Tesco  don't be surprised if you find insects in it  :o it's normal.

The ten year old luckily saw the bolt through the clear plastic window on the front of the sweets before she opened the packet

QuoteJill Stewart, a staff nurse at Hull Royal Infirmary, said she was "horrified" when her daughter found the bolt amongst the pink and yellow sweets, and now wants to warn other parents to check their packets - over chocking fears.

The offending item was found in a packet of Tesco's own 'fruity and foamy' Shrimps and Bananas, which were purchased from Tesco in St Stephen's on Monday.

Probably be accused, by some people, of steaming open the packet, inserting the screw just to get a tenner.

Lynnette Parker from Malton, York was left horrified after opening up the £4.75 bird and discovering its grim contents.

She shared revolting photos on Tuesday (13 October) showing the chicken covered in what appears to be grains and feed
.

They said the price was chicken feed  :(

Safety pin in loaf

Quote"I bought the bread either Friday or Saturday and tore it in half to do sandwiches. It was when I looked at the remaining loaf in the bag that I saw something odd and pulled it out to find a small safety pin in the loaf attached to a long hair!!!

"Disgusting... cut that bit off took pictures and forwarded it to their complaints department. I have today taken it into the store and they have taken my details. Watch this space!!"

Pinning her hopes on getting a reply  :)
