Will depend on the system used, but normally at least 30 days.

I checked the CCTV but there is no data recorded beyond 31/12/2017, I thought  maybe its been recorded and stored somewhere else?

All CCTV requests from customers should go through H/O, not be dealt with in store.
All CCTV is stored on site, so there is either an issue with your storage unit or it’s not set up right as it should be keeping footage longer than 8 days.

Sorry I meant 30/11/2017. I thought it was stored "in the cloud" once the hard drive was full in store.  Do I just say to contact H/O?

Yes, H/O then might send an email requesting you look at it, but your answer will be that you no longer have the date requested.

It’s on a rolling record for 30 days only anything after 30 days cannot be recorded on to disk or saved

What does rolling record mean? What if there is an incident instore police need to investigate from say 3 months ago? They only can see 30 days is that it

Yes, footage is deleted after 30 days.

If someone choses to archive the footage by burning to DVD or other media then it will be available for longer.

Correct, that's why whenever you report an incident (either theft or accident) you get asked to burn the footage to disc immediately

Most express systems are only 2 weeks
